Our training program covers a range of topics including basic gun safety, marksmanship, innovative shoot/don't shoot scenarios using augmented reality simulators, maintenance, familiarization, and legal issues related to the use of deadly force. Our yearly, site-specific course includes classroom instruction and range practice. Local trainers develop specific scenarios to prepare our armed security officers for the situations they are likely to face while on duty.

Defend Pro Security goes beyond traditional training for armed security guards by offering customizable e-learning courses tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. Our armed security guards must complete courses every year, including active shooter response, bomb threat management, customer service, firearms handling policy, crisis intervention, mental health awareness, use of force policy, and management of aggressive behavior. In addition, our compliance officer ensures that all staff complete site-specific courses required by our managers and clients before beginning work at any new location.
